Whaaattt!!! Another show with Boy Abunda!?!
Let’s see, how many shows does he already have? There’s “Eavesdropping,” where he tries to look sophisticated and sound profound but utterly fails. There’s “The Buzz,” where he is more in his element catering to the ‘bakya’ crowd. Then there’s “Star Circle Quest,” where he tries to emulate Simon Cowell or whatever his name is but instead looks and sounds absolutely tasteless.
Then ABS-CBN will soon be airing “Homeboy.” None of Abunda’s shows have any educational value whatsoever. They’re cheap just like one of his co-hosts who is an embarrassment to the memory of a Philippine martyr.
ABS-CBN is obviously in it just for profit, profit amd profit. They like to project themselves as ‘kapamilya,’ but the objective is to commit incest with the viewing public.
I have nothing against the ‘bakya’ crowd, but it’s high time the Philippine media, especially TV and radio, begin to teach values to our people. We’re lagging behind our Asian neighbors because we like to wallow in fantasy and gossip and idolize media personalities who engage in inanities disguised as “being Filipino.”
Santa Santita anunsyo de Santa Barbara! Then we breed more of these personalities through mindless reality TV shows like “Star Circle Quest” that pretend to choose winners through jurors but who are already actually pre-chosen.
What’s even worse is that they go on to become our leaders, having no qualification other than they look good on TV. Pardon me while I stop this article right here. I have to go and puke.
