Why is it that our politicians like to bicker in public? I guess we all know the answer: They’re too incompetent to do anything else.
Take the Malacañ¡® dork, DENR Sec. Mike Defensor. Inutile to combat illegal logging, he instead barks against senatorial dyke, Jamby Madrigal. Now, don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against homosexuality. What I have against are homosexuals (or lesbians) who come into public office trying to hide their sexuality, like that famous closet queen, John Osmeñ¡®Š
Sen. Madrigal denies she’s a dyke. But when you walk like a duck ….
Anyway, Madrigal who was elected into the Senate riding on the popularity of Judy Ann Santos, returned the favor by barking back at the Dork. What else can she do in the Senate but try to look photogenic? I’m surprised that she didn’t invoke the name of Judy Ann in her word war like she did when she campaigned for a Senate seat.
I wonder if the two realize that their public bickering does not have any socially-redeeming value. Not even political value! On the contrary their quarrel shames the survivors and families of victims of the numerous flash floods we’ve had since God-knows-when.
Furthermore they confirm suspicions that politicians are indeed in the pockets of illegal loggers, since these national leaders are doing nothing about these forest-stripping criminals.
Santa Santita anunsyo de Santa Barbara! Are our politicans going to quarrel until the next flash flood once again claims hundreds of lives? The dyke and the dork are both wrong no matter what each of them say! The Filipinos are tired of words. The campaign period is long gone.
Now’s the time for action. Get to work!
