Slurring his way to what he probably thought was intelligent discussion, Joseph "Erap" Estrada in a recent forum of "presidentiables" argued for the legalization of the illegal numbers game called, "jueteng."

In effect he said that, since there is already lotto, horse racing and cockfighting, why not legalize jueteng? He even cockily asked, is it because jueteng is a game of the poor? Obviously he was insinuating that the other presidential candidates were against it because they were anti-poor.

Gambling is evil, period! Gambling addiction is the worst form of addiction. I have personally seen the devastation that gambling addiction has wrought on families. Now Estrada wants to legalize another form of gambling just because there are other legalized gambling games already?

Is Estrada serious? Perhaps the alcohol has completely muddled his brain. It has obviously already affected his speech!

Do we really want this man back in Malacañang? The reason why he was ousted in People Power 2 was because he was immoral and precisely because he was perceived as raking in millions from jueteng.

The only difference between him and Gloria Arroyo is that he has a mustache. In everything else, they’re both blood-suckers.
