If Cory Aquino’s color is yellow, Willie Revillame’s is arrogance.
Ok so arrogance isn’t a color. Nevertheless it befits Revillame. Last Monday, when the remains of former President Cory Aquino were being brought from La Salle Greenhills to the Manila Cathedral, Revillame complained loudly on live TV why the procession was being televised –albeit in smaller frames– alongside his show. He demanded that the frames be removed which the network did. But that insulted the sensibilities of the Filipinos who were outraged at such disrespect.
Many said that Revillame should have let his program go off the air instead in deference to the most beloved Philippine leader. Still others opined that the least Revillame could have done was complain off air.
But that’s what arrogance does. It makes you speak your mind no matter who’s listening. It makes you think that you’re much higher than anybody else, including the person who was responsible in restoring the very network that hires Revillame.
In his weak apology published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Revillame said that his request to stop the inserted video was really "a sign of love and respect for Tita Cory."
Whaaaattttt????!!!!
Go to youtube.com and search for that video segment, you’ll see that Revillame was always saying, "ako," "ako," "ako." It was not about respect to President Aquino. It was about his being distracted. Personally I suspect that Revillame didn’t like the competition as televiewers would certainly be more interested in watching the events surrounding the death of President Aquino.
Yet, this isn’t just about Revillame’s disrespect for a fallen leader. Revillame has always been arrogant. Look at youtube and see how he insults contestants and guests. Perhaps he feels that he’s a demi-god who can do anything in his show. Perhaps now ABS-CBN will step out of its character of being greedy and finally put a stop to this mendicancy-promoting program and it’s obnoxious host, Willie Revillame.

Willie Revillame- ang DICTADOR ng Wowowee nakakahiya ka. Lumaki ang ulo mo ng yumaman ka. Bulod sa mayabang, sinungaling ka pa na hindi dapat paniwalaan. Dapat ka lang ma suspinde o matanggal sa trabaho.
ABS-CBN – Gabby Lopez, Charo Santos, Malou, Director ng Wowowee, at iba pang namumuno sa ABS-CBN nakakahiya kayong lahat. Takot ba kayong lahat kay Willie the Dictator? O dahil lang malakas mag akyat ng pera sa inyo si Willie kaya nag bu-bulag-bulagan kayo. Nakalimutan na ba ninyo na kung wala si Pres. Cory ay wala rin ang ABS-CBN?

Willie did not disrespect Cory Aquino, he loves her together with all Aquino family.
Why would he want to disrespect him. He has proven his point, the Aquino family understands and has accepted his apology, so what more do you detractors want, his blood? Leave the man alone and do what he do best – THERE’S NO WOWWOWEE IF THERE’S NO WILLIE – its as simple as that. LIVE AND LET LIVE – MANNNNNN !!!!!

dapat lang matanggal yang willie villame na yan, walang respeto kay tita cory. At wala din respeto sa staff ng wowowee. Kung hiyain nya harap harapan on air ganun nalang pati mga contestants. Kung e bloff nya para hindi manalo sa contest ganun nalang. Sayang ang ipinakita nya kabaitan na ka plastikan pala. Matulungin daw yun pala kabig patalikod.dapat sa kanya tanggalin sa wowowee.

My lovely bride for 23 years makes me endure Wowowee nearly every day. I’ve finally got her to recognize how the show exploits beautiful women and the arrogance of Willie but she still enjoys the show. I couldn’t agree more with the author of this blog. I found the blog because my asawa was asking me to find out why Willie isn’t on the show…I told her HIS MOUTH had to finally catch up with him and it appears it did. How many people need to be insulted before the producers of this Variety (and sexist) show decide to cut their losses.

Give a break to Willie Revillame. We are all aware of his disappointing behaviour and being disrespectful to the late Pre. Aquino, but let’s move on… he also brings joy to most elderly people and to everybody. With out him in the Wowowee show, it’s not the same…..

natutuwa ang ibang tao lalo na ang mga matatanda sa show nya kasi akala nila galing kay willie at sa abs-cbn yung mga papremyo…hindi nila alam galing sa mga sponsors yun at kumita pa ang abs-cbn at si willie ng malaki!
mas maraming magaling na host kaysa kay willie…kaya lang malakas talaga sya sa abs-cbn management…and malakas ang kita ng wowowee so naghihinayang ang abs-cbn…negosyo yan diba???

tama lang na alisin na si willie sa wowowie kc napakarami na niyang taong ka pamilia kuno sa show na pinahiya on air, isipin nalamang nyo ang mga familia ng mga taong katarabaho nya na ipinahihiya nya sa show hindi ba trauma sa mga familia ng taong hinihiya nya sa show. may dialog pa sya na may nag email daw sa isang katrabaho nya na d maganda ang ginagawa at d na nakakatawa ang ka trabaho nya at agad tinangal nya, bakit siya hundred of thousand na sigurao ang nag blog against sa kanya at nag e-mail na tangalin na siya sa show bakit hangang nagayon ay d pa siya tinatangal.paki-usap abs-cbn management tangalin nyo na si willie. marami na talagang dating nanonood ng wowowie ang naiinis ng buhat ng yumabang si willie at mapang hiya sa kapwa.maganda naman ang kinahinatnan ng show kahit wala si willie.

i watched wowowee once and never again. it really made me wonder how people like willie (can’t even pronounce his last name) can get away with a stupid act on his show. he struck me as a condescending and full-of-shit sob. yes, he does insult his guests and people working with him in that show alike, and it made me so much that i wanted to reach into the tv screen, if possible, and give him a mothful of knuckle sandwich. arrogant bastard!
