Yesterday, Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay announced his candidacy for the 2010 Philippine presidential elections.
He is likening himself to US president-elect Barack Obama. I had to pick myself up from the floor after laughing so hard at the announcement.
Let’s see how they compare. Barack Obama is almost 6 ft. tall. Jejomar Binay is, what, 5’4? Obama is eloquent; Binay is not. Obama has not even been accused of any anomaly while in public office; Binay has been suspended while mayor on the suspicion city hall had ghost employees. Obama has exhibited true statesmanship; Binay is brash and obnoxious.
The only thing Binay has in common with Obama is he’s black and that’s certainly not the reason why Obama won.
So, since Binay announced his candidacy this early, I want to announce this early that I’m not voting for him. But I thank him for a great joke.

Really, a funny post! Firstly Obama is the President elect of USA, a supper power country. How a Filipinos can compare him. But Binay may use some of Obama’s election hack ticks. What I should say more is, I am laughing and writing the comment.
