In a recorded clip shown in ABS-CBN, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada commented in the vernacular of actor Rudy Fernandez, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer: "He’s a good man. Why him? There are so many evil persons out there who deserve this more."

Even if Rudy Fernandez don’t know me personally, i’m his avid fan, so when i’ve learned
the news that he had cancer, i felt sad, i pray for him, that God will always be
with him, and i know with God nothing is imposible, just offer his sickness to the
lord, and bahala na si God. For Rudy’s family, just hang on to God, and always remenber
that prayers can move mountains, and with God nothing is impossible.

RF, i’m very sad about your situation! isa mo akong taga-hanga ever since. halos lahat ng pelikula mo ay pinanood ko, mula sa Baby Ama hanggang sa huli. Kung may maitutulong ako, email ka lang sa amin, ipinagdadasal ka namin sampu ng aking kapamilya. Lubos kaming nalulungkot at sana wag mo muna kaming iiwan. Miss LT, wag nyo po syang pababayaan!!

To the family of the late Rudy Fernandez, I don’t know him personally but i really cried alot when I found out about his death. I was still hoping, even though he was diagnosed with this deadly disease that he would be able to come back to us. Sadly, he no longer is. But just the same, we will pray for his soul and for the beareaved family. I like LT a lot also.
